Sessions range in time based on your horse's needs, so please plan on setting aside an hour and a half when booking your first appointment.

-
As of January 2025, equine kinesiology taping is included in the session rate if desired. KT tape is weather and temperature sensitive, and some conditions are contraindicated for tape, so application is at the practitioner's discretion. Please do not spray your horse with any sprays or conditioners in the days leading up to your appointment if you are interested in adding tape to your horse's session!

-
Please inquire for travel rates if you are located more than an hour from Exeter. I am happy to make the trip to you and your horses!

Please have payment ready at time of service. Cash, check, Venmo or PayPal (with an additional fee) are all acceptable forms of payment. PayPal and Venmo invoices MUST be paid by time of service.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Your appointment time has been reserved for you. Please provide 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel. If you fail to provide notice you may still be charged for your appointment.
REQUESTS

-
Please notify your barn manager of your horse's appointments.

-
Horse's owner is required to be present at initial appointment.

-
Please be aware of feeding times and high traffic barn hours when scheduling your horse’s session. If possible, schedule during a quiet time at your barn.

-
Have your horse cool, clean and dry. If you ride the day of your horse’s massage, please allow him ample time to cool down and dry off. Please avoid any grooming products/sprays such as ShowSheen, etc. A light brushing will do. Please provide fly spray if your horse needs it during the warmer months.

-
Encourage movement following massage. Lightly ride and encourage stretching 24 hours following treatment. Some horses do best with a day or two off of ridden work, but hand walking or extended turnout is encouraged.

-
If your horse is new to massage, schedule their first session at least a week prior to any upcoming competitions.

-
Ask questions! If you notice any changes in your horse following or between sessions, don’t hesitate to ask about them!
AFTER A SESSION

-
Your horse may feel very good and following his session, you may notice an increase in his range of motion as well as his energy!

-
Your horse may be more relaxed due to the release of endorphins and tension.

-
Your horse may be slightly sore or achey due to the release of toxins for a couple of days following his session.

-
Issues, especially long-standing ones, are rarely resolved in 1-2 sessions. It is important to note slight improvements after each session. Bodywork is not always an instant fix. Allow time and make a commitment to follow through as you would an exercise program or lifestyle change for yourself. It may take several sessions to locate the cause of an issue. Once the cause is determined, it can be addressed accordingly.
